Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
QuickCab Dublin (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website, request a quote, or book a journey, and how we use and protect it.
Who we are
QuickCab Dublin provides taxi, airport transfer, wheelchair-accessible, and group transport services in Dublin and surrounding areas. Our registered business address is 9 The Turnpike Santry Cross, Ballymun, Dublin D09V9X7, Ireland. You can contact us at info@quickcab.ie or bookings@quickcab.ie.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Booking details — name, phone number, email (if provided), pickup and destination addresses, journey date and time, passenger count, wheelchair-accessibility requirements, flight number, and special requests.
- Payment information — when you pay online, card details are entered on SumUp’s secure hosted checkout. We do not store your full card number on our servers. We may store payment status, transaction references, and amounts charged.
- Location and route data — addresses you enter and distance calculated for fare estimates (via Google Maps services).
- Communications — messages you send by phone, email, WhatsApp, or our contact form.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and cookies or similar technologies used for site functionality and analytics (where enabled).
How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Process and manage your booking requests and payments.
- Calculate fares and provide journey estimates.
- Contact you about your booking, including confirmations and updates.
- Allocate drivers and vehicles appropriate to your journey (including accessible transport where requested).
- Improve our website, services, and customer support.
- Meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
- Prevent fraud and protect the security of our systems.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
Where EU data protection law applies, we process personal data on the following bases:
- Contract — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract and to perform our transport services.
- Legitimate interests — to operate our business, improve services, and keep records of bookings and payments, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
- Consent — where required for optional marketing or non-essential cookies (you may withdraw consent at any time).
Sharing your information
We may share information with trusted service providers who help us operate our business, including:
- SumUp — to process online card payments.
- Google Maps / Places — to suggest addresses and calculate route distance for fare estimates.
- Hosting and IT providers — to run and secure our website and booking systems.
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and are required to protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or staff.
Data retention
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, and comply with legal and accounting requirements. Contact form messages and general enquiries are retained for a reasonable period unless you ask us to delete them sooner, subject to our legal obligations.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. Online payments are handled by SumUp using industry-standard security. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords where accounts are involved and to contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your information.

Under applicable data protection law (including GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure in certain circumstances.
- Restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
