Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 19, 2026
These terms apply when you use the QuickCab Dublin website, request a fare estimate, or book a journey with us. By submitting a booking or making a payment, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our online booking service.
1. About us
QuickCab Dublin provides licensed taxi and private-hire transport services in Dublin and surrounding areas, including airport transfers, wheelchair-accessible vehicles, and vehicles for up to eight passengers. Our contact details are listed on our website footer.
2. Bookings
- A booking is a request for transport at the date, time, pickup, and destination you specify.
- You must provide accurate contact details and journey information, including accessibility or special requirements.
- We will confirm bookings subject to driver and vehicle availability. Online payment confirmation does not guarantee assignment of a specific driver unless we expressly agree otherwise.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if information is incorrect, the journey cannot be safely completed, or circumstances beyond our control prevent the service.
3. Fares and estimates
- Fare estimates shown on our website are calculated using your pickup and destination addresses, applicable rate plans, and route distance. They are estimates unless we confirm a fixed price in writing.
- Instant estimates use Standard fare: €12.00 base, €2.00/km up to 50 km, then €1.50/km.
- Up to 3 passengers are included in the fare. Each additional passenger adds €7.00.
- When a wheelchair accessible vehicle is required: €40.00 covers up to 10 km; distance above that is charged at €1.75/km in addition to the base. This replaces the standard distance formula and published fixed fares for that booking.
- The final fare may vary if the actual route, waiting time, tolls, parking charges, or journey conditions differ from the estimate.
- Fixed fares advertised for specific routes (for example airport transfers) apply only to those published routes and standard conditions unless otherwise stated.
- We recalculate the fare on our servers when you checkout online. The amount charged through SumUp is based on our system calculation at the time of booking, not on figures you may edit in your browser.
4. Payments
- Pay online — you pay the full estimated fare in advance via SumUp secure checkout. Your booking is treated as confirmed once payment is successfully received.
- Book now, pay later — you pay an online advance (currently 20% of the estimated fare) via SumUp at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due before or during your journey by card or other agreed method.
- Card payments are processed by SumUp. We do not store your full card details.
- If payment fails or is not completed, the booking may remain unconfirmed until payment is successfully made or you contact us to arrange an alternative.
5. Cancellations and changes
- Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a booking.
- Cancellation and refund terms for prepaid or advance payments depend on notice given and journey type. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, short-notice cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of some or all prepaid amounts to cover allocated costs.
- If you do not arrive within the waiting time set out in section 6, the driver may leave. That booking is a no-show and any payment made is not refundable.
- We may need to reschedule or substitute a suitable vehicle if operational circumstances require.
6. Waiting time and no-shows
- For airport pickups, the driver will wait 45 minutes from the agreed pickup time.
- For all other journeys, the driver will wait 15 minutes from the agreed pickup time.
- If you have not arrived within the applicable waiting time, the driver may leave and the booking will be treated as a no-show.
- In the event of a no-show, any payment made for the booking is not refundable.
7. Your responsibilities
- Be ready at the agreed pickup time and location. Waiting time is limited as set out in section 6.
- Ensure passenger numbers do not exceed the vehicle capacity you booked.
- Treat drivers and vehicles with respect. We may refuse service or end a journey for abusive behaviour, safety concerns, or unlawful conduct.
- Inform us in advance of wheelchair access needs, child seats, large luggage, or pets so we can allocate an appropriate vehicle.
8. Delays and circumstances beyond our control
We aim to provide punctual, professional service. However, we are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, flight changes, security incidents, or other events outside our reasonable control. For airport transfers, please provide accurate flight details and allow adequate time for immigration and baggage collection.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law, QuickCab Dublin is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of our website or services. Our liability for any claim relating to a journey is limited to the fare paid for that booking, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Website use
You must not misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with booking or payment systems, or use automated tools to scrape or overload our services. Fare and booking data displayed on the site is for legitimate customer use only.
11. Privacy
Our use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
